PAROS beach tour: Martselo, Aliki, Ambelas, Livadia...


The last couple of years, a few vacation days were reserved for PAROS island, one of my favorite Greek islands. One would think that after all this time there is no unexplored corner on this island, but the truth is far from it... There's always something new to see and experience, especially when you have only 4-5 days for exploring. Sometimes you're just bored to go here and there; sometimes you want to relax in one place and spend your entire vacation on the specific beach; sometimes the company is so good that you forget everything (all this happened to us)...

Zadnjih par godina, nekoliko dana godišnjeg odmora je bilo rezervisano za PAROS ostrvo, meni uvek drago. Neko bi rekao da nakon toliko vremena ne postoji neistražen kutak na ovom ostrvu, ali istina je daleko od toga... Uvek postoji nešto novo da se vidi i iskusi, naročito kada imate samo 4-5 dana za istraživanje. Nekada vas i mrzi da obilazite, nekada hoćete da se opustite (bolje reći stacionirate) na jednom mestu i čitav odmor provedete na jednoj plaži, nekada je društvo toliko dobro da zaboravite na sve (sve se ovo nama desilo)...

Anyway this year we happened to spend the entire vacation in Paros. We had a moment to spare so we decided to go for a tour and discover some new locations. One day we even drove around the whole island, it was awesome. We went again to Mikri Santa beach and Faragas beach. We skipped Santa Maria beach because it was closed...

Elem ove godine se zadesilo da čitav odmor provedemo na Parosu te smo imali koji slobodan trenutak za obilazak i otkrivanje nekih novih lokacija. Jedan dan smo obišli i čitavo ostrvo u krug, bilo je sjajno. Ponovo smo bili na Mikri Santa plaži i Faragas plaži. Preskočili smo Santa Maria plažu jer je bila zatvorena...

AMBELAS beach
"Aspro seaside restaurant"

New for us was a place called Ambelas. Its small yet cute beach has a very nice beach club restaurant "Aspro seaside restaurant", all in white like the name says. A little further, in south of the island, are Aliki beach and Piso Aliki beach, which I didn't like at all, they don't even remind me on Paros, completely different vibe. But there were a lot of people, both tourists and the locals...

Novo za nas je bilo mesto Ambelasčija plaža ima vrlo lep beach klub restoran "Aspro seaside restaurant", sav u belom kao što i samo ime kaže. Nešto dalje, južnije na ostrvu, su Alikiplaža i Piso Aliki plažakoje mi se uopšte nisu svidele, čak me ni ne podsećaju na Paros, potpuno drugačija atmosfera. Ali ljudi je bilo, i turisti i lokalno stanovništvo... 

FARAGAS beach

Livadia beach is located near the main town Paroikia. One typically organized beach, clean, quite ok, with several cafes and sunbeds... Next to it are Krios beach, and newly discovered gem- Martselo beach! Crystal clear water (as everywhere in Paros), soft sand, beautiful view, silence and peace (when we were there, lol, because during the peak season there's no peace)... There's this nice place called "Paradiso beach club & restaurant" which has its own part of beach with sunbeds and umbrellas...


Livadia plaža se nalazi blizu glavnog gradića Parikije (Paroikia), jedna tipično organizovana plaža, sredjena, sasvim ok, sa nekoliko kafića i ležaljkama... U nastavku su Krios plaža, i novootkriveni dragulj- Martselo plaža! Kristalno čista voda (kao i svuda na Parosu), mekan pesak, lep pogled, tišina i mir (kad smo mi bili, haha, tokom glavne sezone ne postoji mir)... Tu je i "Paradiso beach club & restaurant" koji ima i svoj deo plaže sa ležaljkama i suncobranima...

Recent SKINCARE Routines: Morning + Pamper


Skincare is super important for me, because it helps me to set up a proper tone, both for the beginning and end of my day. It can give me the necessary boost of energy in the morning, or help me relax in the evening...
Here's how my recent morning skincare routine looked like (I finished all these products, so I'm switching to another ones which I'll share soon). First I was refreshing my face with Sephora's "Coconut water micellar cleansing milk". The coconut smell is so pretty, and milk is super hydrating, I just love it! Then I was spraying ByPhasse "Re-hydrating face mist" which contains chamomile extract ( it can be also used as a setting spray). I was letting the face to absorb it and then I was applying Balea's "Eye cream" with lotus extract and L'Oreal's "Wrinkle expert" collagen face cream...

Nega kože da super važna za mene, zato što mi pomaže da uspostavim poželjan ton za početak ili završetak mog dana. Odnosno, može mi dati neohodnu dozu enegije i vitalnosti ujutru, ili pomoći da se opustim uveče...
Evo kako je moja jutarnja rutina nege kože izgledala do nedavno (završila sam sa svim ovim proizvodima, i već krenula sa drugim, koje ću podeliti uskoro). Dakle prvo sam osvežila lice sa Sephora "Coconut water micellar cleansing milk". Miris kokosa je lep, a mleko je vrlo hidrirajuće, jednostavno sjajan proizvod. Onda sam poprskala lice sa ByPhasse "Re-hydrating face mist" sprejom koji sadrži smirujući ekstrakt kamilice (i koji se može koristiti i kao sprej za fiksiranje šminke). Dok je lice upijalo, nanela sam Balea "Kremu za oči" sa ekstratkom lotosa i L'Oreal "Wrinkle expert" dnevnu kremu sa kolagenom...


And here's one of my evening-pamper-routines. Don't know if you can call it a "routine" because I always change the products I'm using, especially face masks, but one thing is constant- that luxurious feeling when your skin is super nourished, clean and glowy!
Here I started with L’Oreal's "Pure clay" face exfoliant to remove any dead cells. Then I applied thick layer of Avon's "Planet spa chocolate face mask" (yummy), while drinking "Apple & Cinnamon" tea. After removing the mask, I first prepped my skin with "Face oil" which contains vitamins A/E/F, left it to absorb a bit and then applied LR health & beauty "Sleeping mask"...

A evo kako je jedna od mojih večernjih kućnih spa varijanti izgledala. Ne znam koliko bih ovo mogla nazvati rutinom, zato što uvek menjam proizvode koje koristim, naročito maske za lice, ali jedna stvar je konstantna- luksuzan osećaj kada je vaše lice nahranjeno, čisto i blistavo!

I simply can’t drink matcha on its own, so I mix matcha powder with maca powder which has a slightly nutty taste (ratio 1:3), and then my latte is drinkable!
Prosto ne mogu konzumirati matcha prah samostalno, tako da ga pomešam sa maca prahom koji ima ukus orašastih plodova (1:3 odnos), i onda je moj latte vec prijatniji!

NORTHEAST ITALY: 3 day tour to remember


This was one of the most beautiful trips of my life so far (along with incredible summer holidays on Greek islands)! In such a short time, 3 days total, we were able to see the most fascinating places of North-Eastern Italy: Venice, Verona, Garda lake, Sirmione, Padua and Vicenza. How to spend 2 days in BUDAPEST: must-see places


Budapest, the capital of Hungary, and one of the prettiest European cities if judging by the numerous historical monuments, landmarks and gorgeous architecture. The best time to visit is late spring and summer. What is interesting is that two-day itineraries are highly recommended on the internet, which is exactly the duration of the tour I chose. And two days are truly enough for visiting the most beautiful and most important parts of Budapest: The Royal palace, Fisherman's bastion, Buda castle, Mattias church, Heroes' square... Budimpešta, prestonica Madjarske, i jedan od najlepših evropskih gradova ako je sudeći po brojnim istorijskim spomenicima, znamenitostima i prelepoj arhitekturi. Najbolje vreme za posetu je kasno proleće i leto. Ono što je zanimljivo je to što mnogi preporučuju itinerere tj. aranžmane od dva dana, što je upravo trajanje ture za koju sam se ja odlučila. I potpuno je dovoljno dva dana za obilazak najlepših i najznačajnijih delova Budimpešte, kao što su: Kraljevska palata, Ribarev bedem, Budimska tvrdjava, Matejina crkva, Trg Heroja… Plus večernje krstarenje Dunavom se ne sme propustiti! Over the last few years Parga became truly popular! Each year there are more and more tourists who not only visit this place but return to it. Vibrant and relatively calm Parga is located on the northwest mainland of Greece, between cities Preveza and Igumenitsa. Secluded bay of Ionian sea gives it another vibe, it reminds me of lovely and romantic towns of Amalfi coast in Italy...
Small and adorable shops, narrow streets, traditional taverns and pretty restaurants with international cuisine, olive and orange trees, wonderful beaches with golden sand and crystal clear water, good hotels and numerous rooms/houses to rent, camping options...

Recent SKINCARE Routine: Morning + Night


These were my late spring to early summer morning and night skincare routines, and I'm finally finishing up all shown products! I say finally 'causeIadore trying out new skincare and beauty products and I always think how to intercorporate different ones into my skincare routines in order to achieve the optimal results! The most important for me is healthy looking, glowy and moisturized skin!

Ovo je bila moja kasno prolecna rutina nege koze, jutarnja i nocna, i konacno zavrsavam sa svim prikazanim proizvodima! Kazem konacno zato sto obozavam da isprobavam nove proizvode za lepotu i negu koze, i uvek razmisljam kako da iskombinujem nove proizvode kako bih postigla optimalne rezultate! Ono sto je najvaznije za mene jeste zdrava, blistava i hidrirana koza! 


MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE

1. I don't need harsh cleansing in the morning, so focus is mostly on refreshing after the long night. Therefore I was using Sephora "Micellar cleansing milk" with coconut water, which smells so nice!
2. Then I was applying L'Oreal "Extraordinary facial oil" for normal skin with 8 essential oils. It's lightweight, and my skin loves it! Btw its smell reminds me of Kiehl's "Mignight concentrate recovery", it might be the lavender's note.
3. The facial oil was a perfect base for the next product: BasicBeauty "Baobab beauty program moisturizing day cream" which contains pro-vitamin B5, extract of soy and baobab fruit pulp. Another plus is UV protection!

JUTARNJA NEGA KOZE

1. Ujutru mi nije potrebno preterano ciscenje, tako da je focus uglavnom na osvezenju nakon duge noci. Zato sam i upotrebljavala Sephora "Micelarno mleko za ciscenje" sa kokosovom vodicom koje sjajno mirise!
2. Onda sam nanosila L'Oreal "Extraordinary facial oil" (ulje za lice) za normalnu kozu sa 8 esencijalnih ulja. Prilicno je lagano, i mojoj kozi se dopada. Inace miris me strasno podseca na Kiehl's "Midnight recovery concentrate", bice da je nota lavande.
3. Ulje za lice je bila savrsena baza za sledeci proizvod: BasicBeauty "Baobab hidrantna dnevna krema" koja sadrzi pro-vitamin B5, ekstrakt soje i baobab voce. Dodatan plus je naravno UV zastita.


NIGHT SKINCARE ROUTINE

1. Nothing without proper cleansing in the evening! My little helper (I just love smaller packaging, so handy!) was Garnier "Micellar oil-infused cleansing water"!
2. After making sure my skin is clean, I was applying Bioten "Multi collagen concentrated antiwrinkle serum" which absorbs really quickly! It contains hyaluronic acid and natural sweet almond oil. 
3. While serum was absorbing, I was applying Balea "Q10 eye cream" around my eye area.
4. And last thing was Bioten "Detox skin recharging & anti ageing night cream". Main keywords for this cream are: antioxidant, anti pollution, anti aging and anti fatigue. Sounds awesome, right?

VECERNJA NEGA KOZE

1. Nista bez dobrog ciscenja koze u vecernjim satima! Moj mali pomocnik (mala pakovanja su mi omiljena, bas su prakticna) je Garnier "Dvofazna micelarna voda za ciscenje"!
2. Kada je moja koza bila dovoljno cista, nanosila sam Bioten "Multi kolagen koncentrovani serum protiv bora" koji koza izuzetno brzo upija. Sadrzi hijaluronsku kiselinu i ulje slatkog badema.
3. Dok je koza upijala serum, nanosila sam Balea "Q10 kremu za oci".
4. I poslednja stvar je bila Bioten "Detox nocna krema za lice protiv starenja". Kljucne reci za ovu kremu su: antioksidant, protiv zagadjenja, protiv bora i umora. Divno zvuci, zar ne?

Lately I couldn't stop thinking how much I was always different from my peers, from the early age. Even now pregnant I don't behave nor look like other 6 months pregnant women. Difference is that I finally learned to fully embrace my individuality and my own path. The courage knocked on door when I decided to put my own needs and desires first...
Back to the quote... Getting stressed about this kind of people (low quality ones) is such a waste of time and energy. How do I “fight” it? By focusing on what my heart and body tell me it’s correct to do, minding my own business, setting and living my own values and standards, working on my “grass”, building my small kingdom... Some days that's easier, some days not so much, but as long as you try you live....

"Veliki duhovi su uvek nailazili na nasilno protivljenje osrednjih umova!", rece Albert Ajnstajn jednom… U poslednje vreme nisam mogla da prestanem da razmisljam koliko sam oduvek bila drugacija od svog okruzenja, od malih nogu. Pa cak i sada kada sam trudna, ne izgledam kao vecina zena u sestom mesecu trudnoce. Razlika je sto sam konacno naucila da u potpunosti prihvatim svoju individualnost i svoj put. Hrabrost je pokucala na vrata kada sam odlucila da stavim na prvo mesto svoje potrebe i zelje…
Elem da se vratimo na citat… Nervirati se zbog navedene vrste ljudi (recicemo: ljudi loseg kvaliteta) je potpuno gubljenje vremena i energije. Kako se ja borim sa tim? Tako sto se fokusiram na to sto mi srce i telo kazu da je ispravno da uradim, gledam svoja posla, postavljam licne standarde i vrednosti, radim na sebi, gradim svoje malo carstvo… Nekih dana je lakse, nekih dana je teze, ali sve dok pokusavas zivis…

Stamina, I could say that’s the biggest and might be the only (let’s call it) "issue" I’ve had during this pregnancy so far. So what I’m doing is taking baby steps: walking, sun salutation, squats and arm exercises, pilates/yoga moves, whatever I feel I can do... 
Stamina, rekla bih da je najveci i mozda jedini (nazvacemo) "problem" koji sam imala i imam tokom trudnoce. Tako da se ne forsiram: setnja, "pozdrav suncu", cucnjevi i vezbe za ruke, pilates/joga, sta god prija mom telu...

My PREGNANCY experience: 1st & 2nd trimester


It's incredible how quickly the time passed from the moment I found out I was pregnant. It will pass even faster until the end of pregnancy, because the summer (as every summer) flies without me realizing that. That's why I wanted to take a look back and share my experience, as every woman has a different story and different experience during pregnancy...

Neverovatno koliko je vreme brzo prošlo od trenutka kada sam saznala da sam trudna. I još brže će proći do kraja trudnoće, zato što leto kao i svako leto proleti a da ja to ne ukapiram. Zato sam malo htela da se osvrnem na svoje iskustvo, jer svaka žena ima drugačiju priču i drugačija iskustva tokom trudnoće…


Let's start from the beginning... I got pregnant in January, but I found out when I was six weeks, "accidently". My period was late, but I scheduled the appointment at my gynaecologist here in Greece for another reason and not because I thought I was pregnant (that idea didn't even cross my mind). In fact, at the end of last year (while I was in Serbia) I was diagnosed with PCOS along with insulin resistance, and the doctor I saw at that point prescribed a treatment (I'll address this topic in another blog post). Anyway I thought there were some complications concerning cysts... So out of the blue I found out I was pregnant with the boy, without any other obvious pregnancy symptoms...
Very few people knew, not even all members of our families, which was our personal choice. Most people close to us found out when I entered second trimester (we told them), and the others when I was almost five months pregnant (actually I announced it on Instagram, that's how most of them learned, lol). You couldn't say just by looking at me, I was functioning and working as usual, my body looked almost the same. This was one of the things I wanted to keep for myself as much as possible, knowing in what kind of environment we live and what sort of people we have around us. I wanted peace and freedom...

Da krenemo iz početka… Ostala sam trudna u januaru, a saznala sam nakon šest nedelja. Menstruacija mi je kasnila, ali sam pregled kod mog ginekologa ovde u Grčkoj zakazala iz drugog razloga, ne zato što sam pomislila da sam trudna (zapravo to mi uopšte nije bilo na pameti). Naime krajem prethodne godine (dok sam bila u Srbiji) dijagnostifikovan mi je sindrom policističnih jajnika, zajedno za insulinskom rezistencijom, i doktorka mi je prepisala terapiju (o svemu ovome ću pisati u drugom blog postu). Elem ono što sam pomislila je da imam ponovo neki problem sa cistama, ovoga puta ozbiljniji pa mi zbog toga kasni… I tako sam ja saznala da sam trudna iz vedra neba (i da ću imati dečaka), bez nekih naročitih propratnih simptoma…
Vrlo malo ljudi je znalo, čak nisu ni svi članovi porodice, što je bio naš lični izbor. Većina ljudi koji su nam bliski su saznali kada sam zašla u drugi trimestar (njima smo rekli), a ostali kada sam bila skoro pet meseci trudna (zapravo objavila sam to na Instagramu, većina njih je tako saznala, haha). Na meni se ništa nije primećivalo, funkcionisala sam i radila najnormalnije, sve po običaju, a ni stomak se nije primećivao. Prosto ovo je bila jedna od stvari koju sam htela da zadržim za sebe koliko je god moguće, znajući u kakvom okruženju živimo i kojom vrstom ljudi smo okruženi. Želela sam mir i slobodu…


Women usually feel a clear difference between the first and second trimester (of course it depends on so many factors). For me personally there wasn't so much difference over the period of six months. I never vomited, not even once. I felt "morning sickness" (name is BS 'cause this thing can last the whole day) for two weeks or so but nothing that would threw me off the balance (increased water intake helped a lot). No drastic change in behaviour/mood, except from the certain dose of clear determination to put limits to some people and things. But that comes down to taking care of yourself and your well-being, 'cause when pregnant woman passes through some stress- well baby feels it too...
The only thing (which I mentioned once on Instagram) that was and is "issue" are my energy levels and stamina. Even before pregnancy I had some problems with that, for different kind of reasons, so it wasn't something new, but I felt sorry for not being able to workout as much as before. I quit personal trainings, and started to workout on my own (I have some knowledge after so many years of physical activities). So depending from my energy levels during a specific day I choose between: walking, pilates/yoga moves, stretching, arm and leg exercises with the resistance band... I don't force anything, just trying to listen to my body...

Žene obično osećaju jasne razlike izmedju prvog trimestra i drugog (kažem obično jer zavisi od mnogih faktora). Kod mene nije bilo tolike razlike svih šest meseci. Nijednom nisam povratila. Jutarnju mučninu (inače ime je velika glupost zato što ova stvar može da traje i čitav dan) sam osećala neke dve nedelje, ali ništa što bi me izbacilo iz ravnoteže (povećan unos tečnosti je pomogao). Ni promene u ponašanju/raspoloženju, osim izvesne doze "drske" rešenosti da stavim granice odredjenim ljudima i stvarima. Ali to se svodi na brigu o sebi, jer stress kroz koji trudnica prolazi prosto rečeno oseti i beba…
Jedina stvar (a to sam jednom prilikom spomenula na Instagramu) sa kojom sam imala malo "problem" je nivo energije i stamina. Ja sam već duže vreme imala problema sa energijom zbog različitih razloga, i pre trudnoće, tako da ovo nije bilo ništa novo, ali mi je bilo žao što nisam mogla da vežbam koliko ranije. Prestala sam sa individualnim treninzima, i krenula sama da vežbam (nakon toliko godina fizičkih aktivnosti imam sasvim ok znanje). Tako da u zavisnosti od nivoa energije tokom specifičnog dana biram izmedju: šetnje, pilates/joga pokreta, istezanja, vežbi za ruke i noge/zadnjicu sa elastičnom trakom… Ništa ne forsiram, slušam telo...


Since we speak about "listening to the body's needs", let's address a bit nutrition/diet... My appetite and food preferences haven't changed that much. I had no need or cravings for a specific kind of food, nor I was disgusted with something. My diet before pregnancy was mostly high protein low carb, so the focus was on: meats, fish, eggs, some dairy products and abundance of vegetables. This is what my body personally needed over the last 2 years (in the past I was experimenting with a bunch of different nutrition approaches) and still needs. The only thing I stopped eating for about a month were eggs and raw spinach, I didn't feel like eating them, but now I eat eggs normally (mostly good boiled) as well as boiled/cooked spinach.
I'm truly fascinated how smart our bodies are, if we learn to listen. I listened when it needed me to eat more fruits, to cut all oils, to eat more of leaner meats and cut down on heavier ones, to increase my water intake. What did change a bit were "sweeter" things (generally everything that has that sweeter taste, even vegetables). I never had a sweet tooth (btw I adore making all kind of sweets for others). But now I simply can not stand that sweet taste in my mouth, it annoys and bothers me, I actually need to "wash it off" with some water or lemon juice. So these days when I want for example fruits, I mix them with some Greek yogurt that has a slightly sour taste...

Kad već pričamo o slušanju tela, hajde da se osvrnem malo i na ishranu. Moj apetit i preferencije što se tiče hrane se nisu promenili. Nisam imala potrebu/želju ni za jednom specifičnom hranom, niti mi se šta gadilo. Moja ishrana je i pre trudnoće bila bazirana na proteinima i manjem unosu ugljenih hidrata: meso, riba, jaja, poneki mlečni proizvod, i dostaaaaa povrća. To je ono što je lično mom telu bilo potrebno u poslednje 2 godine (u prošlosti sam isprobala mnoštvo drugačijih nutricionističkih pristupa), i ono što mu i danas treba. Jedino što sam prestala da jedem nekih mesec dana su bila jaja i sirov spanać, nije mi se tražilo, ali sada jaja jedem normalno (većinom kuvana), kao i kuvan/baren spanać.
Prosto sam fascinirana koliko je naše telo pametno, i koliko zna šta nam u svakom trenutku treba, ako naučimo da ga slušamo. Slušala sam kad je zatražilo da ponovo jedem voće, da izbacim ulja, da povećam unos lakih proteina i izbacim teže varijante, da pijem veću količinu tečnosti. Ono što se malo promenilo su slatke stvari, ne samo slatkiši već i bilo šta slatkastog ukusa (čak i povrće). Ja zapravo nikad nisam bila ljubitelj slatkiša, obožavam da ih pravim za druge, ali ih vrlo retko lično jedem. Samo što sada ne mogu da podnesem taj osećaj slatkoće u ustima, nervira me, smeta mi, i obično ga "isperem" limunadom/vodom. Tako da ovih dana kada mi se na primer jede voće, ja ga pomešam sa kiselkastim grčkim jogurtom…


Logically my weight has changed, but nothing so dramatically. Over the period of five months I gained around 4kg, most of that are fluids. During the big 5th month appointment, the scale showed I gained 100gr (yes the baby grew normally, his organs were perfect and almost completely developed). During the 6th month I gained 600gr, which is exactly how much my baby gained. I'm sure the baby will grow more over the next two months, as I noticed difference since I entered the last trimester.
What was funny for me was the look on other people's faces when I was telling them I was almost seven months pregnant, everybody thought I was third as my stomach just started to show.:D As long as my baby boy is healthy and good, I'm fine with the way my pregnancy has gone so far. Actually I never expected to have the same experience during pregnancy as everyone else, just like with everything in my life. My life was always a bit unconventional, as much as I was trying to make it look more "normal" (attempt to normalize things has always brought more chaos and pain into my life)...
As I said at the beginning, each pregnant women is a special story, that's why is really nice and somehow important to share our different and unique experiences, so we can all learn from each other... Over the next period I'll share more about third and last trimester. I have a lot of things to do this month, from purchasing essential things to preparing home for baby (we already started)…

Logično moja težina se promenila, ali ništa dramatično. Za pet meseci sam dobila neka 4kg, i to je većina tečnost. Tokom pregleda u petom mesecu vaga je pokazala 100gr više (beba je normalno rasla, njegovi organi su bili savršeni i skoro u potpunosti razvijeni). Tokom poslednjeg pregleda u šestom mesecu imala sam 600gr više što je tačno onoliko koliko je beba dobila na težini. Sigurna sam da će beba još više porasti tokom narednog perioda, jer sam primetila razliku čim sam zašla u poslednji trimester.
Ono što je meni bilo zabavno je izraz na licima ljudi kada su čuli da sam skoro sedam meseci trudna, svi su mislili da sam treći jer je moj stomak tek počeo da raste.:D Sve dok je malecki dobro i zdravo, ja sam ok sa načinom na koji je tekla i teče moja trudnoća do sada. Zapravo nikad nisam ni očekivala da imam isto iskustvo kao i druge žene, kao što nikad nisam imala ni za druge stvari. Moj život je uvek bio pomalo nekonvencionalan, koliko god bezveze pokušavala da ga "normalizujem" (pokušaj da normalizujem stvari mi uvek stvara više haosa i bola)…
Kao što sam rekla na početku, svaka trudnica je posebna priča, zato je i lepo i donekle važno podeliti svoja različita i jedinstvena iskustva, kako bismo svi učili jedni od drugih… U narednom periodu podeliću više o poslednjem trimestru. Imam dosta stvari da uradim ovog meseca, od kupovine neophodnih stvari do pripreme kuće (što je sve već započeto)...

SKIJATOS, zadivljujuce zeleno (pomislite samo na bujne redove borova i maslinjaka) i najsarmantnije ostrvo Sporada… Kristalno cisto plavo more, zlatan pesak, neke od najlepsih plaza Egeja, arheoloska nalazista. Luka u glavnom gradicu prepuna jahti i brodica, bezbroj restorana i taverni, raznovrsne radnje, klubovi, barovi, kafici, nema sta nema! Najlakse je doci ili avionom (postoji aerodrom na Skijatosu) ili do Volosa pa onda trajektom/delfinom. Naravno najbolje vreme za posetu je letnja sezona, narocito jul/avgust, a za mirniji (ali podjednako sadrzajan) odmor mozda je bolje izabrati jun i septembar.

My PREGNANCY experience: 3rd trimester


Rainy October day today... And we're officially 39 weeks! It's just the matter of a moment now... Possible date for labor is 15th of October, but doctor told me two weeks ago to be prepared... We have regular check up tomorrow, so we'll see if there are any news.
There are things in life you can't precisely plan, as much as you want, which also goes for the pregnancy... So let's get back to the point of the story, and my third trimester.

Kisovit oktobarski dan danas... I zvanicno smo usli u 39-tu nedelju! Sad je samo pitanje trenutka. Verovatan datum porodjaja je 15-ti oktobar, ali mi je ginekolog koji vodi trudnocu jos pre dve nedelje rekao da budem spremna. Sutra imamo regularan nedeljni pregled, pa cemo videti da li ima nesto novo.
U zivotu uvek postoje stvari koje ne mozes precizno da isplaniras, koliko god to zelis, sto je isti slucaj i sa trudnocom. Nego da se mi vratimo na poentu danasnje price, a to je treci trimester...


WEIGHT
Basically now in the third trimester I started to look pregnant, lol. I might go into labor at any moment, and people think I'm six months pregnant. Baby boy started to grow faster in the 8th month, at 36 weeks he was 2700gr.  At 37 weeks he was 2800gr, and after just one week 3200gr (of course you can't measure baby's weight 100%). I stopped to put on more weight around 6th month (when I gained 100gr), it's just the baby weight and some light water retention at the end of the day. From the beginning of my pregnancy until 39 weeks, I gained around 7kg.

TEZINA
Prakticno tek sad u trecem trimestru sam pocela da izgledam trudno, haha. Mogu da se porodim svakog trenutka, a ljudi misle da sam sesti mesec. Beba je pocela da raste malo brze u osmom mesecu, u 36-oj nedelji je bio tezak 2700gr. U 37-oj nedelji 2800gr, a u 38-oj vec 3.200gr (naravno tezina bebe nikad ne moze da se 100% tacno odredi, uvek je 10% gore-dole). Ja sam prestala da dobijam na tezini negde u sestom mesecu (kad sam se ugojila 100gr, haha), sad je samo tezina bebe i tecnost koja se zadrzava na kraju dana. Od pocetka trudnoce do 39-te nedelje dobila sam oko 7kg.


NUTRITION/DIET
My nutrition didn't change, I have no cravings and my body still needs mostly proteins (I "pay" high price if I stay away from them and try to focus on healthy carbs, like fruits or whole grains or similar). During the hot days I want a bit colder and fresh food, and when the temperatures drop I want warmer and cooked food.

ISHRANA/DIJETA
Ishrana se nije promenila. Ne trazi mi se nista specijalno, mom telu su i dalje potrebni vecinom proteini (istina je da "placam" visoku cenu kada ih ne jedem svaki dan i pokusam da se vise fokusiram na zdrave ugljene hidrate kao sto su voce, integralne zitarice i sl.). Tokom toplijih dana vise zelim hladniju i svezu hranu, kada temperature spadnu zelim topliju i kuvanu hranu.


ACTIVITIES
Except of walking and light stretching I haven't done that much. Not because I'm pregnant, but because it's the same old story each summer. I'm pretty much active at work during the summer, so I can (at least over the last few years) dedicate more seriously to workouts after September.
Plus this summer I did an enormous amount of work at home. We gave all carpets and curtains for cleaning, we made one new closet, painted the walls... I cleaned every shelf, corner, door, drawer. Threw away a lot of things. I still clean, so there are barely days when I'm resting, which is bad but things need to be done (both at work and at home). I guess I'll rest at the hospital for those 3 days, lol!
I'm a bit sorry I couldn't focus more on my body and just being present, each summer is the same story- hectic. That's why I want to finish everything I have, so I can have my full focus on the baby, my recovery, as well as the new life stage...

AKTIVNOST
Izuzev setnje i istezanja nisam nesto specijalno vezbala. Ali ne zato sto sam trudna, vec zato sto je ista situacija svako leto. Prilicno sam aktivna na poslu tokom leta, tako da mogu da se posvetim ozbiljnije vezbanju tek nakon septembra, barem ovih poslednjih nekoliko godina.
Plus ovog leta sam odradila bas dosta stvari u kuci. Dali smo na hemijsko ciscenje sve tepihe i zavese, dodali smo jedan novi plakar, okrecili zidove… Ja sam ocistila svaku policu, cosak, vrata, svaku fioku. Pobacala puno stvari. I dalje cistim, tako da su retki dani kada mirujem, sto sam svesna da nije sjajno, ali stvari moraju da se zavrse (i na poslu i u kuci). Valjda cu se odmoriti u porodilistu tokom 3 dana, haha.
Istina je da mi je pomalo zao sto nisam mogla da promenim nacin funkcionisanja tokom ovog leta i da se vise fokusiram na telo i prosto na sadasnji trenutak, ali svako leto je ista prica- uzurbanost. Zato hocu da zavrsim sve sto imam, da bih moja paznja bila potpuno usmerena ka bebi, oporavku, i novoj zivotnoj fazi...


STRECH MARKS SKINCARE
I started to use specific body products for pregnancy stretch marks after the 4th month. That's when my bumpie started to grow a bit. Until then I was using regular lotions, body butters and oils. First I was using Palmer's "Massage lotion for stretch marks" which has lighter consistency and neutral smell. From 7th month when my belly started to show more I switched to Palmer's "Tummy butter for stretch marks" which I truly adore using in the evening after the shower. I like its rich consistency and I love its smell! In the morning I still put some of the same body lotion. And additionally I was using Balea's "5-in-1 Body oil" for other body parts, like boobs...;) So far no stretch marks!

STRIJE I NEGA KOZE
Pocela sam da koristim specificne proizvode za strije u trudnoci nakon 4-og meseca, kada je moj stomak poceo polako da se uocava. Do tada sam koristila regularne losione, putere za telo i ulja. Prvo sam koristila Palmer's"Massage lotion for stretch marks", losion za strije za predeo stomaka koji je laganiji i ima neutralan miris. Od 7-og meseca, kada je moj stomak poceo da raste, presla sam na Palmer's"Tummy butter for stretch marks", puter za telo koji obozavam da koristim uvece nakon tusiranja. Svidja mi se bogata tekstura, a narocito miris. Ujutru i dalje stavim malo losiona za strije. Dodatno sam jedino koristila Balea "5-u-1 ulje za telo" za druge delove tela, kao sto su grudi…;) Za sada nema strija!


SLEEPING
I have been having sleeping issues for quite some years (waking up really early, like 4am, and not being able to sleep after), but there are again some changes. For the last three weeks I started to wake up in the middle of the night, like 2-3am, then I'm awake for one hour or so, then I go back to sleep for one or two hours. It's like my body is preparing me for all the nights I'll be up feeding the baby.:D

SPAVANJE
Vec nekoliko godina imam neke problemcice vezane za spavanje (ustajanje rano, oko 4-5 ujutru, i posle ne mogu da spavam), ali sad me spopalo nesto novo. U poslednje tri nedelje pocela sam da se budim u sred noci, oko 2-3 nocu, pa sam budna po sat i nesto, pa onda ponovo zaspim na sat ili dva. Kao da me telo sprema za buduce noci koje cu provesti budna hraneci bebu!:D


LABOR/BIRTH PLAN
I have no plan. I'll just go with the flow. Is it irresponsible? I don't think so. You can plan your labor as much as you want, and the things might not go as planned, for million of reasons. Do I want natural birth? Yes, my doctor and I agree on that. Will I take epidural? Not my preference, but we'll decide there, depending from the pain level and other factors. But none of this is for sure, I just know I'm gonna do what's the best for my baby and me when the time comes.
From the 8th month, my baby boy took his position, with his head down. Didn't change it until now. During the normal check up at 36 weeks, doctor told me I was ready, his head was super low in my pelvis area. There was no surprise for me as I was feeling the pressure really low for days, yet other women had their opinion- he should get more down (well ladies a bit lower and he's out)! Speaking about opinions of others, I'm so glad I learned not to care, in general, about any kind of opinion! I mean I politely listen to people, then I brush their opinion over my shoulder and continue my day, lol.
Anyway I have my suitcase prepared with all and only the basic things for me and baby. I'm not obsessing over anything, I like to be prepared until certain level...

PLAN PORODJAJA
Nemam plan. Pusticu stvari da teku. Da li je to neodgovorno? Ne bih rekla. Mozes da planiras porodjaj koliko god zelis, a stvari cesto krenu u drugom smeru, zbog milion razloga. Da li zelim da se porodim prirodnim putem? I moj doktor i ja to zelimo. Da li cu se odluciti za epiduralnu? Nije moja preferencija, ali cemo odluciti na licu mesta, u zavisnosti od nivoa bola i drugih faktora. Ali nista od ovog nije zasigurno, znam samo da cu uraditi ono sto je najbolje za bebu i mene kada dodje taj trenutak.
Od osmog meseca, beba je zauzela svoj polozaj, sa glavom nadole. Nije se promenilo do sada. Tokom regularnog pregleda u 36-oj nedelji, doktor mi je rekao da sam spremna, bebina glava je bila super nisko, u karlicnom delu. To i nije bilo neko iznenadjenje za mene jer sam osecala pritisak vec nekoliko dana, ali neke zene u mom okruzenju su imale svoje misljenje- da mora jos da sidje (drage moje dame, malo nize i eto ga napolju). Kad vec govorimo o tudjem misljenju, drago mi je sto sam naucila da me ne zanima sta drugi imaju da kazu vezano za moj zivot. Naravno uvek ljubazno saslusam ljude, ali na jedno uvo udje a na drugo izadje, haha. 
U svakom slucaju, kofer za porodiliste je spreman, sa bazicnim stvarima za bebu i mene. Ne opterecujem se previse, spremna sam do normalnog nivoa...


EXPECTATIONS & PREPARATIONS
Just like with the birth plan, I have no expectation how the things will go once my baby boy is out. Do I plan on breastfeeding? No. That's what I truly want, but I don't plan as I said once. If I can that's awesome (I do have a nursing bra, nipple cream and nursing pads in my suitcase), if I can't I'll find another solution.
I didn't read any books, nor I took some lessons. I read some blogs and articles about basic things, asked 2-3 persons I trust, but I rely on my instinct as always. I learn by practice, not by reading the theory. And I can always call my doctor or midwife, if needed.
Do I have everything prepared at home for the baby? We got basic clothes: bodysuits, socks, mittens, hats, warmer onesies. I have bassinet ready, washed sheets and blankets. First stage car seat. Pram. Nappies (few packs in different sizes, until size 4) and water wipes. Baby bathtub, shampoo, diaper rush creams. Few bottles and pacifiers. The crib will be here during October. I have everything washed with baby detergent, and everything has its own place. Nothing overwhelming...
The only thing I know is that I don't want people or help for the first few days. I know it's strange but I need to find my own rhythm, better to say our rhythm...

OCEKIVANJA I PRIREME
Kao i sa planom porodjaja, nemam ocekivanja kako ce teci stvari nakon sto beba dodje na svet. Da li planiram da ga dojim? Ne. To je ono sto zaista zelim, ali kao sto sam vec rekla ne pravim planove. Ako mogu super (imam i grudnjak za dojenje, kremu za bradavice i uloske/tufere za dojilje u koferu), ako ne mogu nacicu drugo resenje. 
Nisam procitala nijednu knjigu na temu trudnoce/roditeljstva, niti uzimala neke casove pripreme. Procitala sam neke artikle i blogove na internetu o osnovnim stvarima, pitala 2-3 osobe kojima verujem, ali se oslanjam na svoj instinkt kao i uvek. Najbolje ucim u praksi, a ne citajuci teoriju. I naravno doktor i babica su mi uvek na raspolaganju, ako je potrebno. 
Da li je kuca spremna za bebu? Imamo osnovnu garderobu: benkice, bodiji, carapice, kapice, rukavice, toplije stvari. Prenosivi krevetac je spreman, posteljina i cebenca oprani. Sediste za kola. Kolica. Pelene (po nekoliko pakovanja u razlicitim velicinama, do velicine 4) i vlazne maramice. Kada za bebu, peskiri sa kapicom, samponi, Pavloviceva i druge kremice. Nekoliko flasica i cuclica. Krevetac ce biti ovde tokom oktobra. Sve sam oprala deterdzentom za bebe i sve ima svoje mesto. Nista previse, nista preterano...
Jedina stvar koju znam je da ne zelim toliko ljude u kuci iliti pomoc prvih dana. Znam da to zvuci super cudno ali uvek sam bila vrlo samostalna, i potrebno mi je da prvo pronadjem svoj ritam… ili bolje reci nas ritam...
